What's new in Goalkite

We cover what arrives in major updates here, with short live examples. Your app downloads the new version by itself; you can also get it right away in Settings → App and updates.

3.3

Goalkite now speaks four languages

The app and the site are in English, Turkish, Russian and Azerbaijani. Everyone on the same team uses Goalkite in their own language.

Everyone in their own language

On first launch Goalkite uses your device's language; if your device isn't set to one of these four, it opens in English. Dates, day and month names and durations follow the language you choose. Notifications like a new assignment, a comment or an upcoming meeting reach everyone in their own language too.

To change it, go to Settings → My account → Language. If you already used Goalkite, your app stays in Turkish until you switch.

3.2

Learn Goalkite by doing

Newcomers no longer face an empty screen: Goalkite lights up the real buttons and walks you through step by step.

A guide inside the app

The Getting started guide in the sidebar shows the first five steps: add a task, track your time, assign someone, schedule a meeting, invite your team. Tap a step; Goalkite highlights the right button and moves to the next step as you go.

If you hid the guide, bring it back in Settings → App and updates → Show guide.

3.1.4

Meetings now behave like meetings

Turn a task into a meeting: give it a time, a link and attendees; when it's time, Goalkite takes you to the meeting.

Time, link, and Join with one tap

Choose Meeting when adding a task, or set Type to Meeting in the task panel. Enter its time, length and the Google Meet, Zoom or Teams link. Attendees are notified 10 minutes before and the Join button lights up orange; tap it and the meeting opens.

No link? The New Meet button starts a new meeting in Google Meet; just paste its link. You can change the reminder per meeting: 5 min, 15 min, 1 hour before, or none. Repeating meetings (every Monday at 10:00) get a reminder every time.

3.1.3

Shared tasks, fewer clicks

More than one person per task

If two or three people work on something together, assign them all. Everyone assigned sees the task in "My work", gets the "assigned you a task" notification, hears about comments and gets the due-date reminder.

Tap Assignee on the task and tick the people. Pick Nobody to remove them all.

Click outside to close

The task panel, task search, dialogs and menus now close when you click an empty spot; no need to press Esc or the ×. Click another task and the panel switches straight to it.

If you typed something in a dialog, it first asks "Leave without saving?" so nothing gets lost by accident.

3.1

Now in your browser too

Open Goalkite with a link, no install needed. To bring someone onto your team, just send them a link.

Like an app on your phone

Open app.goalkite.com on your phone and add it to your home screen. Goalkite opens full screen with its own icon. Without internet it opens in its last state and sends your changes once you're back online.

iPhone: Safari, Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: Chrome menu → Add to Home screen.

Join a team with an invite link

Create an invite link in Settings → Members and share it. Whoever opens it sees which team they're invited to, creates an account and joins automatically. Nothing to install, no codes to type.

If you reset the link, the old one stops working; you can turn it off whenever you like.

Updates are offered at launch

When a new version comes out, Goalkite shows what changed as soon as it opens. Choose Update now and it refreshes in a few seconds; a running timer and unsaved changes are kept. Choose Later and it asks again next time.

3.0.1

Less noise, more control

Comments in a row, one notification

If several comments are written on the same task in a short time, your phone buzzes only once; the notification updates to "Ayşe left 3 comments". Comments that mention you always arrive separately.

3.0

The team works together, nothing slips through

Comments and @mentions

Talk under the task. Type @ and your teammates are listed; the person you pick gets a "mentioned you" notification. Who changed what and when shows up in the same list.

Calendar

Your dated tasks and routines in a month view. Drag a task to another day and its date changes. Plan undated work by dropping it from the side list onto the calendar.

Flexible repeats

Routines are no longer just "every day": weekdays, the days of the week you choose, or a certain day of every month. A routine only shows up on the Today page on its scheduled days; your streak doesn't break on days off.
